The CTI TM System - Technical Specifications

 

Composition

·          100% polyester fibers, including hollow fibers, formulated in a proprietary YSM blend

·          Two dustproof radiant barriers, attached to the outer sides of the blanket, consisting of

§          High gloss aluminum foil

§          Emissivity <0.05

§          8 micron thick

§          Reinforced with 12 micron synthetic laminate

 

Safety

·          Non-irritating to skin, lungs, and eyes

·          Non-allergenic

·          Non-toxic

 

Insulation Qualities

·          Resistance to heat transfer of R 15.8 to 18.8 (RSI 2.8 to 3.3) for a 54 mm one-layer when measured in a dust-free environment (industry standard testing) according to ASTM c-236 *

·          R 8.5 to 11.5  (RSI 1.5 to 2.0)  for a 54 mm layer in a simulated dust environment, according to ASTM c-236 *

·          Higher R-values depending on thickness and layers arrangement. R=22.7 to 34 (RSI=4 to RSI=6 ) can be reached with 2-3 CTI elements respectively *

·          DustBlock™ radiant barrier provides added insulating efficiency, neutralizing dust build-up that hampers other radiant barriers

·          Facilitates ventilating the roof to improve the insulation performance of the entire system

 

Fire Resistance

·          Meets European fire-resistance requirements of DIN 4102-1

·          Meets Israeli Standard 755 and other international standards

 

Moisture

·          Not effected by moisture penetration, full performance returns upon drying

·          Water penetration less than 0.10g/m2/24 hr. according to ASTM E96-94 when installed according to water proofing  manufacturer spec.

·          Absorption of less than 0.03% by weight even after fours days high humidity exposure

 

Oxygen Transmission

·          Less than 0.10cm3/m2/24 hr. according to ASTM D3985-88 when all overlaps are sealed according to manufacturer spec.

 

Tensile Strength

·          Machine direction: 123 N/inch (24.5 kg/5cm); Transverse: 121 N/inch
(24 kg/5cm), according to ASTM D882

 

Compression & Recovery

·          Recovers to intended volume even after compression to 1/5 for packaging, and maintains volume over time

·          “Compression-proof” – does not lose volume if compressed during installation

 

Recyclable

·          Made from 100% recyclable materials
